Interview - Man's use of dating apps

1.       What dating apps/websites have you used? Are they free?

I’v used Tinder and Grinder. They’re both phone apps only and they’re free. 

2.       What are the positive and negatives of Tinder ?

The positive are that you can set preferences – age, gender and proximity. And it’s also less scary than grinder, because it’s linked with facebook to so you can be matched according to your mutual interests or if you have mutual friends. Also as you can only use photos off your facebook profile, it’s more likely to be legit. Lastly you can control everything, so no one can talk to you unless you allow them too. I can’t think of negatives!

3.       What are the positive and negatives of Grinder?

The positives are that it’s very easy to meet people. The negatives are that some people have no information at all, just a photo, or sometimes not even a photo. It’s a lot scarier than Tinder!.  

4.       Have been on successful dates from using tinder and grinder?

From Tinder, not from Grinder.

5.       What do you think of our idea for a dating app/website?

I like it, I think it’s very niche, and will attract artistic people. I also think you should have the option to make the entire image yourself and take the photo and upload it, because it will attract artistic people, I think a lot of them will want to do this. I think you should be able to swipe like tinder so its easy.
